Music Rehearsals:  Music rehearsals for chancel choir and handbells begin on Thursday, September 2.  Chancel Choir begins at 6:00 pm, and handbells follow at 7:00 pm.  Junior high students through adults are welcome to participate.  Praise band rehearsals continue on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 10:30 am to noon. Worship in the Park:  Come on out for a fun day of worship and fellowship with Morningstar UMC.  On Sunday, September 5, we will worship at Tipton Park, north shelter, in Bloomington.  There will be no Christian formation that day, but worship will be held at 10:15 am.  Following worship, there will be a picnic lunch.  Fried chicken, drinks, and table service will be provided; please bring a dish to share.  After lunch, break out your ball glove for an all-church softball game, and bring swimsuits so that your kids can play in the splash park.  It will be a great day of celebration as we kick off a new season of activity in the life of our congregation! Family Night:  MUMC's family night kicks off on September 8!  Dinner is available from 5:30 to 6:15 pm, and cost $3 for adults, $2 for children, and no more than $10 per family.  In addition to covering the cost of the food, donations go toward one of our area food pantries.  We have a great team of folks who are cooking meals for us this year.  We have a time of praise and worship from 6:30 to 7:00 pm, followed by classes for preschool, elementary/junior high (choir/handchimes), junior/senior high, and adults (7:00 - 8:00 pm).
