UMCOR Disaster Response

As many storms threaten different areas around the world please join us in prayer for those that will be impacted in the days and weeks ahead.

United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and its partners are preparing for the deployment of Response Teams and supplies for all communities affected.

Ways in which you can help:

PRAY for those whose lives will be impacted by current disasters.

MAKE relief kits and send them to the Midwest Mission Distribution Center

GIVE toward the efforts of UMCOR and its partners online or in the Sunday offering. For more information, visit umcor.org.

The Meadows at Mercy Creek

Vespers services at The Meadows at Mercy Creek are provided by members of Morningstar twice monthly. Additionally, an annual ice cream social is provided by the congregation. We are always looking for volunteers to spend time helping with activities. We encourage you to prayerfully consider getting involved with this great ministry!

Park Food Pantry "Just One"

We serve the Park UMC food pantry every month with our "Just One" donation campaign. We provide a specialized good every month, and encourage each member of the congregation to provide just one donation item. This month's donation requests are canned spaghetti sauce, pasta, and canned fruit.

Mitten Tree

Annually, Morningstar UMC sponsors a mitten tree in our entryway. We collect mittens, gloves, hats, scarves, and other new items (socks, underwear, etc.) and give them away to clothing distribution ministries and area elementary schools.

Members of the congregation participate regularly in giving to Advance Special Offerings to support the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), college scholarships, Imagine No Malaria, and other life-changing ministries.

Join our partner church packing food bags for the children at Sarah Raymond School. This event takes place 1-2 times monthly during the school year. Check the calendar for the next dates!
